Social Equity Financial Assistance (SEFA) Grant
The Delaware Office of the Marijuana Commissioner (OMC) is committed to ensuring fair access and opportunity within the state’s regulated cannabis industry. The Social Equity Financial Assistance (SEFA) Grant program provides eligible social equity marijuana licensees with direct financial support to help overcome common barriers to entry, such as start-up costs and access to capital.
Through this program, qualifying businesses can receive milestone-based grant funding to support critical needs like facility build-out, equipment purchases, and other essential start-up expenses. The goal is to foster greater participation from communities most impacted by past marijuana laws and to help create a diverse, equitable, and sustainable cannabis market in Delaware.
Key highlights:
- Available to approved social equity marijuana licensees in Delaware
- Funding amounts vary by license type
- Grants are distributed in stages as licensees meet operational milestones
- Funds must be used for approved business expenses
